  Practicing Diploma for Visual Merchandisers

Program features

This program is designed for those who are working in related disciplines and would like to either pursue or expand their career development in visual merchandising (VM).  

The goal of the program is to provide an intensive professional training to the attendants and enable them to acquire  the VM presentation and managerial skills efficiently and effectively.  

Successful applicants for the program will automatically be admitted as affiliate members of the Society.  First year membership fee will be waived.  Upon successful completion of the program, members will be qualified for the advancement to the status of "Certified Visual Merchandiser" granted by the Society.

Duration of Program

Module 1 (60 hours)    

Conceptual framework of Visual Merchandising

Module 2 (45 hours)    

Professional skill and practice in Visual Merchandising

Module3 (45 hours)

Strategic planning and management for Visual Merchandisers



Arrangement of Program

Date of commencement:  (3rd Intake)

25 February 2013 (normal Monday evening)


Time of tutorial:  

7:15pm to 9:15pm



Venue:  

Jordon, Kowloon



Workshop/project:  

Occasional workshops will be held on either Saturday/Sunday afternoon.



Language:  

Cantonese speaking plus English tutorial notes.



Size of the class:  

15 Maximum (the Society has sole discretion in selecting potential candidates for the class).


Assessment Method

Home/Class exercises; project/workshop assessments.



Tuition fee

Total fees: HKD 27,000 (HKD9,000 per module);payment can be made for each module; or 20% discount will be offered for one full payment (ie HKD21,600).

Entry requirements

1) Diploma in related discipline or above; plus at least 3 years working experience; possession of VM working experience will be an advantage.

2) Age 21 or above; registrants need to present the proof of qualification and work history. Some registrants might be required to attend for an interview.
