  Advanced Diploma in Visual Merchandising (Planning & Management)

Having equipped the experience in conducting the existing diploma program for the past five years plus acting as the adviser to the other academic institutes and public organizations, Asia Society of Visual Merchandisers (ASVM) is proud to launch its first and ever Visual Merchandising Training Program at advanced level in Hong Kong. 

This is an innovative course for those members* who would like to acquire a thorough understanding of VM aiming to pursue a leading role in VM working sector in the future, even though they are lack of design and visual merchandising knowledge and/or experience at the beginning.

This program provides
sound and practical knowledge in VM as well as managerial skills required in their workplace. Hands-on practical skills and techniques in Visual Merchandising and presentation so that the graduates emerge from this program can be competent enough to perform as professional Visual Merchandisers at supervisory level.

* Those who register Level 1 program or other equivalent programs organised by our Society will be automatically admitted as affiliate members of the Society (see note - speical offer below) .

Characteristics of the Program


This program comprises of 3 levels: Level I (75 hrs); Level II (75 hrs) and Level III (75 hrs)

Total duration of the program:  225 hours

 Lectures and intensive workshops are included, which allow members to acquire  in-depth knowledge in: 

  - Visual Merchandising
  - Design concept and principles
  - Fashion style, trend and appreciation
  - Store, brand and retail management
 
Assessments:  100% by course work, including class and workshop assessment, homework and group project.

Academic Admission Prerequisite


Level I
 
Completion of F.6 or equivalent; or completion of F.5 or equivalent with at least 2 years relevant working experience; or aged 21 or above with at least 5 years relevant working experience.

Level II
Completion of Level I; or completion of Advanced Professional Certificate in Visual Merchandising or equivalent.

Level III
Completion of Level II; or completion of Diploma in Visual Merchandising or equivalent.

Level I

Level III

Commencement Date: 10 November 2010

Location: Jordon

Time: Every Wednesday 7:00p.m. - 10:00p.m.

**Occasional workshop will be held on Saturday or Sunday (normally 2:00pm to 8:00pm)


Tuition fee * (see remarks for fee arrangement)

1) Level I:   HKD 8,500
    Level II:  HKD 9,500
    Level III: HKD 11,000 

2) One full payment (20% discount): HKD 23,200

Tuition fee prices (refer to above) will take effect for registrations made after 1 September 2010.

Remarks :-

 * Register by 15 September 2010 to qualify to pay the unrevised tuition fee amount as follows:-
    
    Level I:   HKD 8,000
    Level II:  HKD 9,000
    Level III: HKD 9,000  

    One full payment (20% discount): HKD 20,800

**Those registered in courses during or prior to 15 September 2010 will not be affected by the revisions when promoted to the Level II and III stages. 

 

     
Special Offer

Once your admission is successful, you will be automatically admitted as our Affiliate Member and the first year membership fee will be waived.

Professional Qualification

You will be qualified for our Associate Membership or Professional Membeship (ie full membership) upon successful completion of this course subject to working experience backgrounds.
